The fds team were delighted to be presented with the Super Staff award in the BiY Inspired Awards 2015 on Friday 2nd October.
The Super Staff Award is for the business who have a person or team who go ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty. This was the only award presented for staff and is a huge achievement for fds. The fds team has expanded immensely over the past 4 years, growing by 300%. Amongst new staff members who joined the team were apprentices and graduates, who brought extensive and varying skills to the company, such as design expertise, event management and global marketing. Recent projects and successes at fds have earned the team recognition in these prestigious awards.
fds Director Services Limited was established in 1989, by Founder and Chairman Jo Haigh, to provide established, growing and new SMEs with a range of services to help them achieve their individual business goals, manage business change and assist with their financial direction.
Poonam Kaur, CEO of fds, commented: “I am extremely delighted that we have won this well-deserved award. The team work extremely hard to ensure that we use our resources and skills to deliver to the best of our ability. I believe this is the best team fds has ever had”.
The BiY Inspired Awards were created in 2014 by BiY and Awards Writers when they realised there were no region-wide awards recognising small and medium businesses. This year’s shortlist included 32 businesses, covering everything from start-ups to well-established businesses.
The BiY Inspired Awards are the only ones honouring small and medium businesses across Yorkshire, and those shortlisted really are at the top of their game.
Darren Shaw, founder of BiY and chair of the judging panel, said: “It was genuinely inspiring to read all of the entries and hear how Yorkshire SMEs are thriving and working with some of the biggest names not just in the UK, but in the world. The BiY Inspired Awards are the only ones honouring small and medium businesses across Yorkshire, and those shortlisted really are at the top of their game.”
Fellow judge Louise Turner of Awards Writers, who also created the awards, said: “Some of the decisions we’ve made on which entries to shortlist were a really tough call, which just shows what a high standard the entries were.
I’m proud and delighted to be involved in a set of awards which showcase what Yorkshire’s often-overlooked small and medium businesses have to offer.”
