We are delighted to share that Jo Haigh, Founder and Chairman of fds, has been included in Northern Power Women’s 2023 Power List. This recognises the trailblazers who challenge the norm and ensure that everyone they work with recognises the benefit of having a gender-balanced workplace and shifting the dial towards a more equitable world for women in work. Jo joins a list of just 50 individuals who were chosen by a panel of judges from more than 1500 nominations.
Northern Power Women’s Power List marks the incredible contributions of women raising the bar for gender equality at work. The recipients of the accolade, who live and work across the North, will be honoured at Northern Power Women Awards 2023, which is taking place on Monday 20th March at Manchester Central Convention Complex.
Now entering its seventh year, the Northern Power Women Awards, supported by headline sponsor, EY, celebrate the individuals and organisations who are working towards creating gender balance in organisations, passionately supporting equality across the North.
Jo Haigh’s contributions to corporate finance more than warrant her position on the Power List, with a wealth of experience under her belt in the professional services industry- an industry that is typically male-dominated. From creating fds in her back bedroom and leading the business to become the successful corporate finance boutique it is today, Jo has broken barriers with her career of decades-worth of leadership responsibilities in corporate finance, board support and director-level training.
Stephen Church, North Market Leader & Manchester Office Managing Partner at EY, commented: “Congratulations to the 101 individuals who have made it onto this year’s Power List and Future List of the Northern Power Women Awards 2023. These lists represent incredible people across the North who have contributed significantly towards making a positive and lasting difference in their communities. At EY we’re thrilled to be supporting these awards, facilitating the celebration and spotlighting of powerhouses across the North.”
While this community of role models will be celebrated in full force on the evening of the awards itself, the impact of their legacy is never just for one night. These Northern Powerhouses join the hall of change makers and trailblazers in the Northern Power Women community, their work being promoted to inspire the next generation of gender and equality champions.
